Technical features of the Multipack Handle® Labelling Machine line
The system consists of a conveyor belt for loading individual packages, a compartment system for grouping, and an extractor comb that pushes modular batches, which can be configured according to different customer requirements, to the labeling station. The latter features two custom Energy 300 labelers positioned at the end of the line-one above and one below the conveyor belt-capable of achieving simultaneous product labeling on both sides. As a batch passes over the conveyor belt, the labelers apply two Multipack Handle® labels, one on the top and one on the bottom, allowing modular batches of wet wipes to be assembled into a single multi-pack that can be easily picked up and transported thanks to the presence of handles on the labels.
The innovative label that revolutionizes usability and packaging reduction
The Multipack Handle® label is a patented adhesive backing made of synthetic film with a flip-up handle that, thanks to the management of adhesive coating during production, allows the handle itself to be gripped “dry,” which can be grasped without adhesive release by hand contact. The label also has a transfer function to create an irremovable Tamper Evident effect on the product.
Multipack Handle® revolutionizes usability by providing a convenient method of pick-up and transport, easing the management of package storage and the burden of conferring superfluous waste. Last but not least, the special manufacturing process, also allows planar applications (on only one side of the multipack), without the need to stretch the label, thus avoiding C-shaped applications (on 3 sides), at least for multipacks up to 5 kg.
